About Me:

My name is Rachel Firneno and I work with adults, 18+ who struggle with trauma/PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more. I am trained in EMDR from an EMDRIA approved program and I am currently working towards certification in EMDR. In addition, I am also trained in several cognitive based theories, which allows me many tools to tailor a treatment format that is unique to your needs. You will find that I provide a non-judgmental, safe, and compassionate environment for you to open up and work on your needs. I provide face-to-face sessions in the Denver area and online therapy to individuals in Colorado and Texas using a secured video format.

Credentials/Experience

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado and Texas, a Board Certified Counselor (NCC), and a Board Certified TeleMental Health provider (BC-TMH). I graduated with my Bachelor of Science in Psychology in 2011 from Texas A&M University Central Texas, and my Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Texas A&M University Central Texas in 2014.

I completed my internship in Texas working in community mental health with indigent clients who have severe mental illnesses, substance use issues, trauma, and co-occuring disorders in both the community and the clinic settings. I have extensive experience working to stabilize clients with multiple in-patient hospitalizations and/or incarcerations. During this time I provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Processing Therapy to clients as well as utilizing other evidenced-based therapies to help the clients meet their recovery goals.

Please feel free to contact me to schedule your FREE 15 minute phone or video consultation. I will be happy to discuss your needs and provide further information on a case-by-case basis.
